The very first person that I remember talking about the topic of leaving pieces of yourself on the Internet was Ferruccio, in his Building friend catchers post, years ago.
Then I read this post –Breadcrumbs– by Simon Sarris, a person I deeply admire, and I only know him thanks to the breadcrumbs he leaves behind him.
Now I have this place. And it feels like the first night you spend in your new apartment, surrounded by only the essentials. I fully own it. It’s on a server I pay for. I own a domain on my full name.
Right now I just feel the urgency and the need to fill this place and do something with it – better, in it – that makes me feel at home.
This place is empty, can you hear the reverb?
