Work with me
I imagine you might have questions. So I’ve tried to organise this section in a FAQ fashion, to answer as many doubts you might have without killing the vibe with a giant wall of text.
Whether you’re interested in knowing more, or the things you’ve read resonate enough that you want to hire me, I’m here to help.
I can build your MVP, personal website, or help out with your startup.
Do you do design, or just development?
I come from product development, and I’d love to put my past experience at your disposal and help you figure out what to build, not just build it. And in the end create a product that users will love using.
I’ll deliver something harmonious, modern, and appropriate to both the users and the business’ needs. Built on solid design abstractions, maintanable and robust.
Do you work with my existing team or independently?
Both. But in general, this relationship works best when I deal directly with the decision makers.
I mainly need boundaries, context and agency, and I’ll take it from there.
You work part-time, can you really deliver on a serious project?
As the Parkinson’s Law goes: “Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.”
Every project in my portfolio was done part-time.
Together with my clients, we found that by being transparent upfront about what’s achievable and how much time things really take, and by carefully prioritizing and scoping the work, we’ve always managed to deliver results without unnecessary stress or last-minute rushes, even though I consistently worked fewer hours than the typical full-time arrangement.
What happens if things go wrong?
We’ll base our relationship on manageable milestones, continuous iteration and honest communication.
And if it’s not working, we’ll both see it coming from afar, and we’ll adjust accordingly, with no strings attached or heavy commitments.
Why you instead of an agency or full-time hire?
An agency splits attention across dozens of clients. A full-time hire locks you into a fixed cost and a commitment that goes beyond your line of sight.
Working with someone like me allows you to keep control of both the costs and the output, with the freedom to adjust things along the way. It gives us both time to create a relationship slowly, carefully and based on solid ground.
What’s your tech stack?
These are my preferred and most used tools:
- Web apps: NextJS , React and shadcn/ui .
- Static websites: Astro and Tailwind .
- Mobile apps: Expo and React Native .
- Backends: Supabase , Django and Typescript -based frameworks.
I have a few less common picks in my stack like MantineCSS , PayloadCMS , PagesCMS and Coolify that I use for personal or greenfield projects. These may be less common but really deliver a lot of value in specific situations.
That said, these are just tools. I’ll learn whatever the job needs, as I’ve always done.
What’s the biggest project you’ve handled?
Probably Anapana and Testbusters , both full mobile apps built from scratch, featuring authentication, notifications, backend integrations, native playback APIs, custom designs and everything in between.
Inspotype was also a major product challenge, involving complex client-side interactions, the many UX niceties, and all the necessary integrations required to make a SaaS work.
These weren’t toy projects. They’re businesses with real users and real metrics depending on my work.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes! Head over to my portfolio for a selection of some of the things I did in the past couple of years as an freelance developer, or the work experience that came before that.

Michele Riva , Founder & CTO at Orama , from the time I joined them.
